Perfecting Session / up to 3 hours

Feather-touch (microblading) mimics lifelike brows by creating hairlike strokes to redefine shape and fill areas with sparse or sporadic hair growth. Using a hand-tool with a cluster of fine needles to implant pigment into the skin, the microblading creates the illusion and dimension of individual, life-like hair strokes and natural looking brows. The technique is meant to be very light, clean and crisp. We don’t recommend Feather-touch for our more mature clients, or those with oily skin or are a higher risk of scarring.
Powder Brows
Initial appointment $545 / up to 3 hours ~ price includes touch-up perfecting session if booked within 6-12 weeks of the initial appointment
Perfecting session / up to 3 hours

Powder Brows are the newest and one of the most advanced machine techniques in semi-permanent eyebrow tattooing. It is a soft layering technique that gives ultimate control to the artist to create the most natural looking powdered brow. The technique is as described by its name, soft and light in the front and gradually darker towards the tails. is great for all skin types, especially those with previous semi-permanent makeup, mature clients and those with oily and acne prone skin. The Powder technique creates more depth for those with larger gaps throughout their natural brow and gives a penciled or powdered-in makeup effect.
Perfecting Session
Price included in initial appointment ~ for TBL clients only
For new clients, 2 sessions, 6-8 weeks apart is recommended for best results and is industry standard across the board. Sometimes just one treatment is sufficient, though a touch-up is always recommended to achieve optimum results. The perfecting session is not intended to change the shape created at your initial appointment and must be done within 6-12 weeks of your initial appointment.
At your “perfecting” session we assess how well your skin has retained the pigment and can make any adjustments needed. Touch ups are beneficial for layering the pigment for more saturation and definition and each result will differ from person to person. Touch up sessions must be completed within 3 months from the original session for the “touch up” pricing to be valid.
Future Colour Refresh
12-24 months $245 / TBL clients only
24-36 months $345 / TBL clients only
POA / touch up of someone else’s work needs to be advised upon consultation
While classed as permanent, cosmetic tattoos do fade over time and the longevity of colour in the skin cannot always be predicted. Some skin will hold colour longer and better than others, while others fade leaving a light residue.
To keep your brows looking their best you may require a colour refreshing approximately every 12-18 months, or as required. To protect the skins health, Alyce prefers not to perform further touch ups within 12 months of your previous perfecting session. Please note to be classed as a touch-up the previous strokes must still be visible.
What should you do to prepare for your appointment?
We recommend washing your hair prior to your appointment, as you cannot get your brows wet for 10 days following your procedure. Please arrive to your appointment with your makeup how you would normally pencil / powder your eyebrows and bring any references with you that may help convey the results you’re hoping to achieve. Our room can be on the cooler side but for the prevention of infection and cross contamination we do not supply clients with a “blanket”, so we also recommend bringing something warm to wear or put over yourself during your procedure if you are inclined to feel the cold. This can also help you feel more relaxed and comfortable during your procedure.
The brow area may have minor redness and bruising for the first 24 hours; you may prefer not to make any social plans on the day of your enhancement (but that’s completely up to you and how self-conscious you are).
Due to safety reasons, children and or guests are not permitted in the treatment room at any time.
Any waxing, threading and tinting should be done so one to two weeks prior to your treatment. This allows us to see how you normally would have your brows shaped and if you like to have your brows tinted, helps us to choose a suitable pigment colour to match your desired brow shade. If having any waxing or threading prior to your appointment please do so no less than 48 hours prior to your appointment, and tinting no less than one week prior to your appointment so as there is no stain from the dye still remaining on the skin.
Avoid sun/tanning bed exposure for 2 weeks before and after your procedure. You cannot arrive to your appointment with a sunburnt face
Do not have any type of facials or peels within the 2 weeks prior to your appointment
Do not consume any stimulants such as caffeine in the 12 hours prior to your appointment
Do not consume alcohol in the 12 hours prior to your appointment
Discontinue active skincare 2 weeks before treatment (e.g. Vitamin A, chemical peels, prescribed skincare etc.)
Do not take aspirin, niacin, vitamin E or Ibuprofen 24 hours prior to procedure (do not cease regular medications unless under the advice of your GP)
Do not cease use of any medication before consulting with your GP
Do not consume alcohol on the day of your procedure
Do not have any injectables for 4-6 weeks prior to your appointment
Electrolysis treatments should be performed no less than 5 days prior to your appointment
IPL laser hair removal should be performed no less than 2 weeks prior to your appointment
If you come to your appointment with any type of break out, rash, inflammation, abrasion, blemish or bruise in the area that is to be worked on, we cannot proceed with your cosmetic tattoo
Average healing time and process
Immediately after brows will be their darkest and sharply defined. You may experience some minor swelling and redness, which usually subsides within 24 hours.
Day 5-10 your eyebrows will begin to peel/flake and may be itchy. During this process it is very important not to itch, pick or rub at your tattoo (this can cause your tattoo to heal patchy and touching the area can cause infection)
Day 10 tattoo has finished exfoliating and is skin smooth. Colour is soft and may appear too light. For some, the healed tattoo will be just as they were hoping, whilst others may experience poor colour retention and may initially be disappointed. Be patient, it takes 3-4 weeks for your new tattoo to heal completely and the pigment to resurface to its true colour. After this period you may see more colour return and you will be back in 6-12 weeks time for your perfecting session to make any adjustments to your tattoos colour and/or shape.
Follow up appointments should be scheduled for 6 weeks after the initial procedure. New procedures are a two-step process and final results are not determined until the touch-up perfecting session. On rare occasions more than two treatments are required (all sessions after the perfecting sessions are charged to the rate listed). Do not judge your procedure while it is in the healing process.
Aftercare
Day of procedure:
Do not touch the healing area with your fingers!
Do not apply any aftercare balm for the first 48 hours post procedure. This is “golden period” of wound healing and the skin must breath and close on its own without any foreign oils on it
Always wash your hands before touching the freshly tattooed area
Blot the area with one of the aftercare pads included in your aftercare pack every hour following your procedure
Keep showers quick and avoid facing the showerhead and submerging your face/eyebrows in water. No soap, cleansers, cream, makeup or any other products other than the aftercare ointment are to be used on the treated area for 10 days
Makeup can be worn around but not over the area for a minimum of 10 days
Day 1:
You will be provided with a special aftercare balm to apply twice daily. With a cotton bud apply a very thin layer (rice grain size) of the aftercare balm. Before each application, use a clean, dry cotton bud to wipe off any existing balm left on your brows. Lightly dampen a clean cotton round with tepid water and gently wipe clean. Pat dry with a clean dry cotton round or paper towel and re-apply aftercare balm.
Swelling, redness and skin sensitivity is normal but shouldn’t last more than a day or two and should be minimal. If you begin to feel pain or discomfort from the site after three to four days of having been relatively pain free, this could be a sign of infection and you should seek medical advice
Day 2-10:
Continue to keep eyebrows clean and dry and apply aftercare balm twice daily
Do not pick or pull at flaking skin as this can result in pigment loss and lead to permanent scarring. If itchy, tap around the area with a clean cotton bud.
How often will I need to have my cosmetic tattoo re-done?
Feather-Touch Brow Tattooing require further retouching approximately every 12-24 months to keep the pigment looking its best.
The longevity of colour in the skin cannot always be predicted. Some skins hold colour longer and stronger than others, while others fade leaving a light residue in the skin. Pigment may fade or change according to metabolism, lifestyle, skin type, medications, age, smoking, alcohol, sun exposure, and use of active skincare products such as Retin-A and Alpha-Hydroxy Acids (AHA’s).
Touch ups are not mandatory. We advocate for skin integrity and encourage you to hold off on any unnecessary touch-ups to maintain the integrity of your skin for as long as possible. Your skin has a limited capacity for the number of procedures it can withstand before the area becomes compromised and dull, regardless of ombré powder technique or microblading.
