With an eyelash enhancement, the pigment is delicately placed only within the lash line creating the appearance of a denser, more voluminous lash line. The artistic placement of colour and line can also help correct the appearance of certain eye shapes and facial asymmetry. And its smudge proof and waterproof so you do not have to re-apply. This is a tattoo of your lash line, not the waterline nor the eyelid, but directly where your lashes grow. It is to fill in the lashes to create the illusion of thicker, denser lashes without looking lined or like you are wearing makeup.
Thickness and colour can be customized for each client to achieve their desired results.
Baby Liner
Upper $495 / 2.5 hours ~ price includes touch-up perfecting session if booked within 6-12 weeks of the initial appointment
Upper and lower $545 / 3 hours ~ price includes touch-up perfecting session if booked within 6-12 weeks of the initial appointment

Baby liner (a very thin eyeliner) can be applied to the top and bottom eyelids depending on the look you want to achieve and what will complement your eye shape. We would only recommend a full eyeliner tattoo for those who wear this look on a daily and have no plan on changing their look any time soon.
Our lash enhancement and baby liner tattooing is designed to look natural and soft. This is the type of look we like to create. We also only use synthetic organic pigments which are not designed to give a blockout colour that some may desire with a thicker eyeliner.
If you are wanting a thicker or more bold eyeliner we can happily recommend you to a couple of favourite cosmetic tattoo artists who specialise in this type of eyeliner.
Perfecting Session
/ Price included in initial appointment cost for TBL clients only
For new clients, 2 sessions, 6-8 weeks apart is recommended for best results and is industry standard across the board. Sometimes just one treatment is sufficient, though a touch-up is always recommended to achieve optimum results. The perfecting session is not intended to change the shape created at your initial appointment and must be done within 6-12 weeks of your initial appointment.
At your “perfecting” session we assess how well your skin has retained the pigment and can make any adjustments needed. Touch ups are beneficial for layering the pigment for more saturation and definition and each result will differ from person to person. Touch up sessions must be completed within 3 months from the original session for the “touch up” pricing to be valid. If your cosmetic tattoo does not heal perfectly the first time, don’t worry. We can tweak things at your next session.
What should you do to prepare for your appointment?
If you wear contact lenses please bring your contact lens case and solution with you, as these will need to be removed prior to your procedure and bring a pair of glasses with you for after the procedure as you will not be able to use your contact lenses for 72 hour post procedure. On the day of your appointment, we ask that you do not wear makeup on or around the treatment area and that you bring something warm to put over yourself so that you are comfortable for the duration of your procedure.
Some swelling and redness of the eyelids can be expected for the first 24-48 hours. How much swelling you will experience comes down to the individual. Some will only experience very minimal swelling and others will swell right up. If you know you are one to swell up or are concerned about it, you may prefer not to make any social plans and to organise a day or two off work after your enhancement (but that’s completely up to you and how self-conscious you are).
Due to safety reasons, children and or guests are not permitted in the treatment room at any time.
Eyelash extensions must be removed at least 12 hours prior to your appointment
Do not curl your eyelashes, perm, have a lash lift or tint your eyelashes in the two days prior to your appointment
If you have had any type of eye surgery, please consult with your GP about how long you should wait before having a permanent eyeliner tattoo procedure
Cease use of any lash enhancement serums for at least 2 months prior to your appointment. These serums can cause poor results and excessive bruising during the procedure
Avoid sun/tanning bed exposure for 2 weeks before and after your procedure. You cannot arrive to your appointment with a sunburnt face
Do not have any type of facials or peels within the 2 weeks prior to your appointment
Do not consume any stimulants such as caffeine in the 12 hours prior to your appointment
Do not consume alcohol in the 12 hours prior to your appointment
Discontinue active skincare 2 weeks before treatment (e.g. Vitamin A, chemical peels, prescribed skincare etc.)
Do not take aspirin, niacin, vitamin E or Ibuprofen 24 hours prior to procedure (do not cease regular medications unless under the advice of your GP)
Do not cease use of any medication before consulting with your GP
Do not consume alcohol on the day of your procedure
Do not have any injectables for 4-6 weeks prior to your appointment
Electrolysis treatments should be performed no less than 5 days prior to your appointment
Average healing time and process
Immediately after the procedure your tattoo will appear very dark and more sharply defined. There will most likely be some swelling, redness and the eye area will be tender. Severe swelling will generally only last for two days.
Day 4-10 your eyeliner will begin to heal/exfoliate. During this process it is very important not to itch, pick or rub at your tattoo (this can cause your tattoo to heal patchy and touching the area can cause infection)
Day 10 tattoo has finished exfoliating and skin is smooth. The colour will be soft. It takes three to four weeks for your new eyeliner tattoo to heal completely revealing its true colour.
Follow up appointments should be scheduled for 6 weeks after the initial procedure. New procedures are a two-step process and final results are not determined until the touch-up perfecting session. Do not judge your procedure while it is in the healing process
Aftercare
Day of procedure:
Do not touch your new tattoo unnecessarily and always wash your hands first
Do not wear contact lenses for 72 hours following your procedure
We recommend wearing sunglasses when outside to protect the eyes from dust and debris
Blot the eyelids with one of the aftercare pads included in your aftercare pack every hour following your procedure (there are 4 aftercare pads in the sachet)
Keep showers quick and avoid facing the showerhead. No soap, cleansers, cream, makeup or any other products other than the aftercare ointment are to be used on the treated area for 10 days
Please keep the area clean. No makeup is to be applied on or around the area (including mascara) for 10 days as this can introduce bacteria leading to infection.
Day 1:
You will be provided with an aftercare balm to 3-4 times daily. With a clean cotton bud apply a very thin layer (rice grain size) of the aftercare balm. Before each application, use a clean, dry cotton bud to wipe off any existing balm left on your eyelids. Lightly dampen a clean cotton round with tepid water and gently wipe clean. Pat dry with a clean dry cotton round or paper towel and re-apply aftercare balm.
Eyes may be swollen and “crusty” upon waking. If this occurs rinse your face and using your hands gently loosen the eyelash area with tepid water and pat dry with a clean, dry cotton round. Then using another clean cotton bud apply a thin layer (less than a grain of rice) of the aftercare ointment
Swelling, redness and skin sensitivity is normal but shouldn’t last more than a day or two and. If you begin to feel pain or discomfort from the site after three to four days of having been relatively pain free, this could be a sign of infection and you should seek medical advice
Day 2-10:
Continue to keep eye area clean and dry and apply aftercare balm 3-4 times daily
Do not rub or pick at any flaking skin as this can result in pigment loss and lead to permanent scarring.
How long will my eyeliner tattoo last?
Most of our clients won’t require maintenance on their lash enhancement or eyeliner tattoo for 2 – 3 years or longer. Cosmetic tattoos are considered permanent but will fade over time.
The longevity of colour in the skin cannot always be predicted and the frequency of touch-ups depends on a number of factors. Pigment may fade when a lighter pigment is used. Sun exposure, lifestyle, skin type, metabolism, medications, age, smoking, alcohol, and use of active skincare products such as Retin-A and Alpha-Hydroxy Acids (AHA’s) can all contribute to the longevity of your cosmetic tattoo.
We advocate for skin integrity and encourage you to hold off on any unnecessary touch-ups to maintain the integrity of your skin for as long as possible. Your skin has a limited capacity for the number of procedures it can withstand before the area becomes compromised and dull.
Pain/ Numbing
Out of all the procedures we offer, usually clients say this is the least painful! We will make the procedure as comfortable as possible and if required, will use a topical anaesthetic gel containing lidocaine for numbing during your procedure. Threshold levels vary from person to person and every effort is made to ensure you remain as comfortable as possible for the entirety of the procedure.
With that being said, if you don’t feel comfortable with the thought of someone touching your eyes or know it is a sensitive area for you- this might not be the right procedure for you!
